About Anton
Anton Korotchuk began his career in the flooring industry in 2002 as an apprentice for a prominent local flooring company. He worked his way up to flooring foreman and completed many successful flooring projects throughout the Twin Cities:

Anton Korotchuk was born in Kremenets of Western Ukraine. In 1995 he and his parents immigrated to the United States with hopes of living the American Dream.
After graduating with honors from Eden Prairie High School, Anton went on to achieve an undergraduate business degree from the University of St. Thomas and pursued his dream of owning his own business. He had always enjoyed the world of commerce and saw how companies achieved success by offering superior products and services.
Anton took steps to master the flooring trade, his chosen field, and to advance his education. He founded Anton's Floorcovering LLC in 2008, convinced that he could offer a superior company to the construction industry.
Anton lives in Victoria, Minnesota with his wife Irene and their four wonderful children, Vanessa (23), Michael (17), Sophia (16), and David (12). Anton enjoys helping others, spending time with his family, riding his bike, seeing nature, and providing the best service possible to his clients.
Anton is a Cum Laude Alumni from University of St. Thomas. In 2007 he received a Flooring Certificate from St. Paul College to further his knowledge of the flooring trade.
Anton has a unique approach to assuring that he stays true to his principle of providing the best possible service to his customers. During meetings with his crew following the completion of a job, they reflect on how they performed and how they might be able to improve even more the next time around. This management approach, Anton believes, results in the exceptional, high quality craftsmanship his clients have come to appreciate.

What areas does Anton’s Floorcovering serve?
We work out of Victoria, Minnesota and cover twelve Minnesota counties: Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Le Sueur, McLeod, Ramsey, Rice, Scott, Sibley, Washington, and Wright. In practice that is the whole Twin Cities metro, and the cities we are in most often are Minneapolis, Saint Paul, Chanhassen, Chaska, Eden Prairie, Edina, Wayzata, Maple Grove, Plymouth, Shakopee, and Waconia.
What kinds of flooring do you install?
Engineered and solid hardwood, carpet, ceramic and porcelain tile, natural stone, luxury vinyl plank and tile, and laminate. We also refinish hardwood that is already down, repair and regrout tile, install tile and stone backsplashes, fit countertops, and do complete bathroom remodels including the cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, and painting.
What do LVP, LVT and WPC stand for?
LVP is luxury vinyl plank, which comes in long boards that look like wood. LVT is luxury vinyl tile, which comes in squares or rectangles that look like stone or ceramic and can be installed grouted or ungrouted. WPC stands for wood plastic composite, one of the rigid core constructions used underneath luxury vinyl to make it stiffer and more forgiving over an uneven subfloor. All three are waterproof, which is why they turn up in kitchens, baths, and basements.
What does NWFA certified mean?
NWFA stands for the National Wood Flooring Association, the largest trade association dedicated solely to wood flooring, with members in all fifty states and 48 countries. The NWFA writes the installation and sanding guidelines the industry works to, and Anton holds its Certified Wood Flooring Professional credential, so your hardwood is installed and finished to those published standards rather than to whatever a crew is used to doing.
What does EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm mean for my house?
EPA is the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Its Renovation, Repair and Painting rule covers work that disturbs paint in homes built before 1978, which is a lot of the Twin Cities housing stock. Being a Lead-Safe Certified Firm means our crews are trained to contain and clean up that dust properly. If your house predates 1978, it is the certification that matters most on a tear-out.

How do you price a flooring job?
Every job is measured on site and priced in writing before any work starts. There is no published price list, because the installed cost depends on the material you pick, how many rooms and stairs are involved, whether there is old flooring to tear out, and how much subfloor prep the house actually needs. The measure visit and the written quote are free.
How long does a bathroom remodel take?
Most of our full bathroom remodels finish inside seven days, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, tile, and painting included. We run our own tile and flooring crews instead of waiting on outside scheduling, which is what keeps it that short. A master bath where the shower is rebuilt or the plumbing moves runs longer, and material lead times are usually the real constraint.
Can you refinish the hardwood I already have instead of replacing it?
Often, yes, and it is the cheaper answer. We sand and refinish, screen and recoat (a buff and coat, for floors whose finish is worn but whose wood is sound), do dust-controlled sanding, and repair damaged boards. Whether a floor can take another sanding depends on how much wear layer is left, which we check at the measure visit.
